SMS Consent

Case Help is a service operated by Wayco.

This page documents how Wayco collects consent to contact you. We collect consent in two ways: on our web intake form, and verbally during a call with our intake assistant.

Web form opt-in

A person can opt in on our web intake form by checking a consent box. The box is not checked by default and is not required to submit the form. The exact words shown next to the box are:

When you submit the intake form, the consent you give also covers how we may contact you about your request. Specifically, you agree that Case Help and the independent law firm we connect you with may contact you at the phone number and email you provide, including by automated telephone dialing systems, prerecorded or artificial/AI voice messages, and text messages. This consent is not a condition of any service or of being connected with a law firm. Because the form asks about your injuries, submitting it also means you consent to providing that health-related (sensitive) information so a law firm can review your request.

Verbal opt-in on a call

A person can also opt in verbally during a call with our intake assistant. Near the end of the call, the assistant reads this disclosure and asks for a clear yes or no:

How we record consent

Our landing-page intake form is our record of consent. Each time the form is submitted, we record a timestamp, the information that was entered, and the state of the consent checkbox (checked or not). We keep this submission record as proof of what the person saw and agreed to.

For a verbal opt-in, we keep the call ID and a transcript excerpt of just the consent exchange as the record of that person’s agreement.
